Classroom Grants
Each year The Bulldog Foundation approves several grants which go straight to the classroom to supply equipment, technology or anything a teacher may need that is above the typical classroom expenditures. Teachers complete applications and the Foundation Board approves various grants. The three videos below highlight three different classroom grants implemented during the 2022-2023 school year.
School Store Classroom Grant
Rossford Junior-Senior High School opened a school store which is run by Mrs. Mershon’s Lifeskills Class and Mrs. Fellman’s Business/Marketing Class. The project was made possible from a generous classroom grant provided by The Bulldog Foundation. The store creates a wonderful collaboration experience for our students and builds great lifelong skills.
Makey Makey Classroom Grant
Elementary STEM students learned how to create touch “screen” posters through Makey Makey equipment in Miss Iman’s class. This technology was purchased through a class grant from The Bulldog Foundation. The project taught students circuitry, wiring, coding and problem solving. This Bulldog Foundation grant was delivered for the 2022-2023 school year.
New Book Vending Machine
Rossford Elementary School unveiled a new book vending machine as a reward for students. Children earn a golden ticket by showing 3 Rs (Respectful, Responsible, Ready), or working hard to become a better reader. Students can earn the golden ticket, then they pick out the book of their choice in the vending machine and keep it. The Bulldog Foundation helped fund the project and make sure the books will be stocked in the future.
